Family Fun Day..........

We all had the day off on Friday, so we decided to head to Kansas City for some fun! We started at The College Basketball Experience. Kaden and Daddy loved this place. They got to shoot, dunk, play video games, and even broadcast on Sports Center! Kenyon and Mommy even got in on some of the action. We will definitely be back here!

After some bball fun, we went to eat and then headed back to the Sprint Center for Kaden and Kenyon's first circus! Kaden's favorite part was anything that included motorcycles.... especially the 6 motorcycles all driving in the ball cage at the same time. Kenyon loved all the lights and the noise!

Meeting Braylon......

We went to Tennessee this weekend and met Braylon for the first time. Kaden loved holding him, but had to be reminded a couple of times that he was a little more breakable than his little bro! Kenyon was just confused and wondering why it wasn't all about him!!
Kaden is still loving Kindergarten and has a new best friend, Jackson. As I drug him out of bed this morning he said that he wasn't done with his nap yet. So, I think his hour long "lay on the floor with his eyes open time" at school will eventually turn into a "nap time". He could sure use it!!
Kenyon just turned 7 months and is all over the place. He doesn't crawl yet - just rolls and wiggles to whatever can get him in trouble. He can hold his own bottle and sit up for longer periods of time. He is trying to catch up to his big bro as fast as he can!

Camping.....

As soon as we got out of school we headed home to pack for camping. It was a quick trip, but we had fun! It was Kenyon's second time camping - but his first time sleeping in the tent. Last time we slept in the truck (we THOUGHT it would be warmer and more comfortable)!!

Kaden's First Day of Kindergarten......

Kaden had a great first day of kindergarten! I had Darrick take him to the bus the first day just incase it didn't go smoothly - but he saw Tabor (they ride the same bus) and took off! He said that he didn't have anyone to play with at recess :( but I'm sure that will change. He is excited to go back!

If you look back at the August, 2008 post (Kaden's 1st day of preschool) the bricks are at the top of Kaden's ears!!

Happy 5 Years Baby!!!

Darrick and I celebrated our 5 year wedding anniversary (plus all the years before) this week. It seems like just yesterday we were sweating in the park, trying to keep all the kids in the wagon...... :)

ZOO TIME..............

This week we took advantage of one of Daddy's days off and headed to the "World Famous Topeka Zoo"!

After the zoo we took a train ride around the park.

Vacation Time............

Last week we went on vacation. We started by going to Tennessee to see Jarvis and Stacy. We were there for Jarvis' birthday, but a week too soon for Braylon's.... Stacy delivered baby Braylon yesterday!! While in Tennessee, Kaden lost his second tooth! Luckily the tooth fairy still found us!

After a couple of days we left for the Atwood family reunion in Branson. We spent many hours at the pool....Kenyon's "tan" is starting to convince Darrick that he is actually his:) Kenyon also turned 5 months while we were in Branson!

On the way home we stopped by to see Big Brutus again. Kaden wasn't as impressed the second time around. He was actually a little worried that Brutus was getting too old to climb on, and was holding on for dear life as we climbed the stairs.
