Kaden Lost a Tooth.......

After 3 long weeks of a loose tooth, Kaden finally came home with his tooth in a bag. The bag also contained a string tied around the tooth, so I knew Kaden would have an exciting story for me! This is how it went.....
"Papa asked me if I wanted to see some magic. So he tied the string around my tooth... and it just popped out. Then the blood came!!"
He said it didn't hurt and was excited to put it under his pillow. Although he never caught the tooth fairy like he wanted to, he was still excited about the money she left him.

Our Boys.....

Here are some pictures of Kaden and Kenyon. Kenyon is starting to show a lot of emotion through his facial expressions! The picture of Kaden is from a friend’s “circus themed” birthday party. Darrick wasn’t too crazy about the tiger face painting…. but Kaden assured him that it was a Jungle tiger, not a Missouri Tiger!!

Ganging up on mommy.........

Let me set up the scene for you........ it was Kenyon's first bath and daddy was taking pictures and filming as mommy and Kaden were scrubbing the little boy. As daddy starts filming, mommy got a big surprise....... as you will see and hear on the video, ALMOST everyone got a big kick out of the event! Being the only female in the house, I'm sure it will be the first of many laughs at mommy's expense!

McDonald's stop on the way to Tulsa

A week after Kenyon was born, we decided to take advantage of Darrick's time off of work and go on a short vacation. We decided on Tulsa over St. Louis because of the weather and the closer location. Anyway, along the way we were going to stop at McDonald's so that I could breastfeed and change Kenyon. Wanting to get to Tulsa, Kaden was pleading with us to go through the drive thru instead of going in. When I told him I had to go in to feed Kenyon, he was mortified, and told me, "no one wants to see your boobs"! I told him not to worry, that I was going to use a blanket, to which he replied, "you're going to feed Kenyon a blanket"? What a nut!

New Arrival!!

Kenyon Thomas Doleman is finally here. 9 months was definitely a stretch from the 4 short months that I was pregnant with Kaden.... but MOST of it was enjoyable! The doctor induced me 2 days early on Wednesday, January 28, and everything went pretty smoothly. Kenyon did have his cord wrapped around his neck - but other than
that it was pretty quick, and after my epidural, pretty painless.
He was born at 1:29, weighed 8.5 oz, and was 20.5 inches long.
He is a bundle of joy and we all love him. Kaden seems to be
adjusting to the new big brother role and loves to hold his little brother!

Kenyon's on the way......

Although I am not due for another 2 weeks, my belly has been growing at a much faster pace than the doctor thinks I can handle. He said that he would like to induce me before 39 weeks, but he's going to do a sonogram on Tuesday to find out the babies size for sure. I'm not so sure I want to know the size of the baby before it comes out- but we'll see :)

We had a good Christmas and New Year. Kaden got a drum set and loves to entertain us with his beats! He is now a quadruple threat with the drums, guitar, keyboard, and his singing! He can't wait for baby Kenyon to come out and play with him. I hope that enthusiasm stays when Kenyon is really here and Kaden can't play his drums because the baby is sleeping!
