Marley Has Arrived...........

Marley Jayne Doleman came into this world on Sunday, December 12, 2010, at 12:11pm. She weighed 7 lbs 14 oz, and was 20.5 in long. We all love her very much and are glad that she is finally here!!

Any Day Now...................

I am due this coming Friday, December 10th. Dr. Moreano said that he would induce me on the weekend if I didn't go into labor by then!!!! We can't wait!!

Pumpkin Patch.......

We never seem to get to the pumpkin patch until the weekend right before Halloween, when there are very few pumpkins left. We spend forever looking for the right pumpkins.... but have a lot of fun doing it!

Kaden's 7th Birthday......

Kaden is a big 7 year old now. As we were debating something in the car today, he informed us that he was half way to being an adult! Where does the time go?!

6 Months.........

I am 6 months today and I just participated in a 5K up Copper Mt. ski slopes with 10 crazy obstacles along the way! This baby girl is going to be tough!! :)

Warrior Dash 2010.........

Darrick, Megan, David, Valerie and I traveled to Copper Mt., CO this weekend to participate in the Warrior Dash. I originally planned on sitting out after I found out I was pregnant, but once we got there I realized that I would regret it if I did. Luckily the gang was understanding and wanted to race together. I was never left alone!!! :) It was a great time and we can't wait to go back. Our theme this year was 80's Warriors!

1st Day of School for Kaden and Mommy.............

Kaden is a big 1st Grader today!! He was excited and had a great day! This was also my first day back with the kids. My Christmas break will hopefully come sooner than everyone else's. I will be 6 months on Sunday!!

Third Times a Charm....... and a Girl...............

With Darrick, the boys, both of our moms and me all stuffed into the sonogram room..... we anxiously watched the tv screen. We really didn't need to watch..... Darrick already told us it would be a boy. BUT....when we saw the cheeks with nothing in between..... :) there was nothing but smiles! We are so happy to have the chance at raising a girl with the help of her two older brothers!

Leadville or Bust.......

Our trip to Leadville was filled with camping, hiking, and family fun!! The boys climbed part of their first 14er.... Mt. Massive, Darrick and I celebrated our 6th Wedding Anniversary, and we came home without any Bear or Mountain Lion attacks...... although I think that Kaden was a little disappointed that he didn't get to fend one off! Every time I told him to be careful doing something in the wilderness, he would tell me.... "don't worry... I was born to do this"!

Weekend Fun...............

We had a fun filled weekend in Kansas City. We visited the Dino Experience at Union Station, Kaleidoscope at Crown Center, and then stayed over night at the Hyatt! Kaden enjoyed swimming on the rooftop, eating outside at the Power and Lights District, and definitely the dinosaurs...."this is the coolest museum ever". Kenyon didn't really enjoy the animated dinosaurs, but he did like the Kaleidoscope activities....."Wow". Mommy and Daddy just enjoyed hanging out with their boys!!!

Easter Fun.................

This was a fun Easter. Most importantly because Kaden really understood what Easter is all about this year. We went to see the Passion Play, and he really questioned everything that happened and wanted to know if that was how it really was for Jesus. This wasn't Kenyon's first Easter, but it was his first "walking" Easter. He enjoyed hunting for "balls"... aka...eggs..... and was quite content with just finding two.... enough to fill both hands.

All Moved In!!!

It's been a long time coming, but we have finally made the move. We were lucky enough to find renters for our old house the same day as our closing for our new house!! We moved in on Monday, March 8, and our renters moved in on Thursday..... it was a busy week! The last thing we moved (successfully on the second try) was Kaden's basketball goal. Now we just get to enjoy our new home!!

Hoop Dreams.....

As we were getting ready for Kaden's very last basketball game of his very first season of ever playing on a team (Coed Kindergarten)...... he told me he was going to dunk it today! Well..... that never happened..... even on the lowered baskets that they play on..... but he enjoyed every minute of being on the court! I wish team sports could stay this innocent forever!!

Kenyon Thomas turns 1........

I can't believe that my baby is a 1 year old! It seems like just yesterday that I was bringing Kaden home from the hospital.... not to mention Kenyon! We just had a little party at home with his cousins. Kenyon didn't really enjoy musical chairs, but he did love playing with the balloons. When cake time came he was serenaded twice .....because we forgot to video tape the first time :) He didn't really know what to think about the cake. I think he was confused at why we were giving him this opportunity. He fussed at it a little and then just started picking it off and putting in on the floor. After satisfying his boyish need to make a mess.... he finally ate some. Happy Birthday Kenyon!!

Finger nail clipping........

As I was clipping Kaden's finger nails he was arguing about how mine were way longer than his. Here's how the conversation went.
Kaden: Why don't you have to cut your nails... they're longer than mine.
Me: I'm a girl. Mine can be longer.
Kaden: How do you know when to cut them?
Me: I just know.
Kaden: How do you know?
Me: I just do!
Kaden: What... is it women's intuition?
Me: (speechless)

Kenyon Walking.................

Kenyon has been taking steps for the last couple of weeks. He should be running by his birthday!

Bad idea.............

In a last attempt at staying awake after bedtime.... Kaden made himself bleed.....accidentally??? Here's the story: It was bedtime (a little tough after snow days and the weekend), and Kaden had already gone through the usual...... I need a drink, just one more scooby doo, can I take my socks off, I'm still hot.... !!! He came down the stairs one last time for a drink, and 2 minutes after we sent him back to bed he came back down with a bloody mouth. He said: "I was covering up and my knee hit my loose tooth". I think: Well.... I don't really know what I think happened... but I am a little suspicious...... Anyway, the tooth needed to come out and Daddy was ready to pull it..... I'm sure this is when Kaden decided that whatever he did was a bad idea!

Long story short: The tooth came out..... Kaden survived..... Kaden went to bed (only because he knew that the Tooth Fairy was on it's way) Maybe we should knock out teeth every night :)

Mini Vacation..........

Daddy had a couple days off work..... so we went up to the Legends and stayed in a hotel. Kaden and Kenyon had the pool to themselves! :)

The day we came home Kaden and I had dentist appointments. Kaden went in with 23 teeth....... and came out with 23 teeth...... but one was in his hand :) The dentist just popped it out. This was New Years Eve Day...... good thing the Tooth Fairy works holidays!
